Monetary incentives do not matter in the Cognitive Reflection Test
Abstract
We study the role of incentives in the CRT performance. We conduct a lab-in-field experiment where subjects are randomly assigned to real payments (p = 1/2) or hypothetical ones (not payment at all). We find no differences in 6 countries where the experiment was conducted identically.
