Cooperative game theory, networks, topological methods

Juan Carlos Rodríguez Gómez is PhD in Mathematics and Professor of Statistics and Decision Theory at Universidad Loyola Andalucía since September 2025. Previously, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Seville and the University of Málaga.

His research lies at the intersection of cooperative game theory, networks, and topological methods, with a particular focus on defining and axiomatizing values and power indices on simplicial complexes and filtrations to model restricted cooperation and coalition formation. His work also explores persistent homology as a tool to study coalition structures, and he develops mathematically grounded frameworks connecting classical cooperative values to complex, data-driven settings.
