Behavioral Economics, Technology Adoption

Rana Umair Ashraf is Assistant Professor (Research and Teaching) at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw, since October 2021. Previously, he completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the School of Computer Science and Communication Engineering, Jiangsu University, China, and earned his Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology, China (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS).

His research focuses on Behavioral Economics, Technology Adoption, and Human-Computer Interaction. His work has been published in leading journals such as the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Business Strategy and the Environment, Energy, and Socio-Economic Planning Sciences.

He is currently serving as the Principal Investigator from the Polish side for the project «Environmental Consciousness: A Behavioral Rebound Effect (ENCON),» funded by the EU-LAC Interest Group, with a Polish contribution of €100,000.
